Current Statement from the Interim Administration of Tigray
It is a recognized truth that the people of Tigray, through a bitter struggle and immense sacrifice alongside other oppressed peoples, were instrumental in establishing a constitutional order and a new federal democratic system designed to serve all citizens with equality.
However, the sanctity of this hard-won system has been repeatedly violated. Beyond the unspeakable atrocities and genocidal acts already committed against our people, a new decision has been passed that openly contravenes both the Constitution and the Pretoria Agreement. This decision directly jeopardizes the internationally recognized constitutional boundaries of Tigray.
The Interim Administration of Tigray strongly condemns this resolution, which was passed by a council lacking the representation and voice of the Tigrayan people. Given the grave and far-reaching consequences this move may provoke, we demand an immediate reconsideration and correction of this dangerous path.
